"First I just want to say thank you for the way you treated me through out the build - everything you said you did. Now for the for the weapon you built me, to start the day it arrived I showed up at the house, and my son could tell by expression on my face something was up. He asked did that LSA show up? I just smiled and told him to go get some ammo
By the time we loaded 2 drums it was just about dark, so I told him to go first and hurry up.
We shoot a lot , 100"s of rounds a week all types of weapons , I own another "so called" custom saiga 12 (Not an LSA), so he got his ears on and put the Signcutter up, fired off 3 rounds, immediately turned around mouth wide open and said "dad your not gonna believe this gun". He turned back around and dumped the remaining rounds. All smiles he said, and I'll quote "This one is mine dad!!!!!"
I agree. What a weapon! We ran 250 rounds through it Saturday, he shot 200 of them for sure. Sunday morning when he got up he came out and said "dad look no bruise ".
Very impressed , worth every penny and more "

"I just wanted to send an update about the Saiga 12 [SBS] you built for me. It cleared (NFA transfer) to me a few months ago and I must say it is a pleasure to shoot. It impressed everybody who held/shot it including many members of the SWAT team.
It definitely was put through its paces in regards to full out mag dumps to movement drills. It was surprisingly very well balanced and easy pointing (including off center shots). To date must have around 700 rounds through it and have not found any loads it does not like outside of very low brass. "

Mike,
This has been a long time coming. When you built my S12 at the beginning of the year I had high hopes for sure, and they grew even higher after reading some of the testimonials, but when I received my Saiga you took it to a whole other level.
It has become the envy of all my buddies when we go out and shoot, everybody wants a turn! Even the folks I don't know within earshot! The second I pull it out of the case it gets some weird looks, and when after I dump the first mag or drum everybody at the range stops.
I've had people taking pictures with it, begging for the chance to shoot it. It just puts that grin on my face knowing I have one mean machine built by you!
I appreciate your hard work. The devil is in the details and you've missed none. There is nothing like look on peoples faces when they talk about how "unrealiable" a Saiga is. Well they've never put a hand on mine. You truly do amazing work and anybody interested obtaining one better have your number on speed-dial!
Once again Mike, you deserve a huge THANK YOU! But that will not be enough.
Regards,
Scott S. - US Midwest

I own two Saiga 12s and my first I had customized by a gun shop in [****], and the second by Mike. I could go on and on about the difference between the two, but I'll just say that Mikes craftsmanship and the performance of his Saiga simply surpasses the other one. When you open the box and pick up the gun you truly realize that someone took the time, patience and had the skill to make such a amazing weapon. You may try to tell yourself that the price is a bit steep but I'll tell you it is worth it and you will know it when you get it.

“I first want to say that Michael Rogers at LSA is the professionals, professional. After 25 years of active duty, I can say from experience that my SBS is one of the finest weapons I have ever fired. I’m still waiting for my paperwork to be approved but I was lucky enough to fire my weapon over the weekend. My S-12 is a piece of art, top notch bar-none. I would most highly recommend LSA to anyone that wanted true quality and service. When I called the FFL that is holding my weapon, all he could say was: “How much did you pay for this gun? It is the most intimidating shotgun I have ever seen. I WANT ONE!” I told him it wasn’t about the cost, it’s the reliability.
Michael, as I stated on the phone, the comments about you and LSA on the web are grossly understated, there aren’t any words to convey the level of customer service you provide.
I’ve e mailed you with questions on week ends and after hours and you always answer right away. I own a small company here in Colorado and companies like yours are what makes America great and why those of us that have served on active duty feel honored to have done so.
Youre attention to detail is exactly what a military professional is looking for. If anyone is looking for a “Truly Custom” weapon, they only have to look to LSA…”

Hey Mike,
After receiving my new build and my jaw dropping, a couple of friends came by (former Special Forces, and Law Enforcement). Funny to see grown men giggling over a weapon!
Hope to put it through a real fire test, but running 50 rounds through it was a whole lot of fun!

"Michael,
Brother, the work you did is superb! I just got done shooting a couple hundred rounds. It functions just like I wanted! My friends that had theirs done by (NAME WITHELD) are jealous!
I'm ordering the parts for the next build. I'm going to do a tromix monster brake, a tri-rail, hogue pistol grip, and an enidine buffer.
Thank you for the impeccable work you did on it!"

Mike,
I was out of state, and we had a skunk infestation, mother skunk and five kits. Sounds cute, but it definitely wasn't. The Mrs. caught them clustered up ouside about 50 yards away, grabbed up that first gun you built for me, and took em' all out in about three seconds. She said she'd never seen fur fly like that. Now it's "her gun".

Brother, I would just like to thank you for getting my Saiga 12 up to speed. Your customer service is second to none. I appreciate the constant communication with me.
This is the 4th Saiga I've owned, and now that you have worked on it , the best Saiga I've ever owned.
I've sold the other three guns, but this [one] will never be sold!. Thank you.

Mike,
Thanks for the quick response and advice.
Not shooting competition, but I sure do enjoy peeling off 12 rounds in the shortest bump time possible. The mags work beautifully!
Kinda ironic; all that energy and beautiful in the same sentence.
One buddy i shoot with named the Saiga "Nasty"!
Thanks again!

Mike,
I finally got a chance to put my Saiga through its paces yesterday. It is AWESOME! I have 2 weeks to burn by the end of the year, so I decided to take tactical shooting classes at a place called Big Boar Tactical here in Texas. We've been working on pistols so far and yesterday we moved on to shotguns (carbines and long distance shooting will follow). My trainer has a customized Saiga and loves his shotgun. He was really impressed with mine. His Saiga is probably 8" longer and weighs more, yet the recoil and accuracy are very similar to my shotgun. In his words, my Saiga is an "ass-kicker." I used Froglube to lubricate it and it functioned flawlessly through 400+ rounds of 71/2 and then some 00 buck. We shot some trap to warm up and he said he never saw someone shoot trap so well with a combat shotgun. As it was my first time, I'm either an idiot savant at trap shooting, or my Saiga is very user-friendly and deadly accurate. I'm guessing the latter. Just to give you an idea of how accurate the weapon is, we practiced a hostage scenario with steel targets. At 7 yards, with 71/2 shot, I was able to place rounds on the bad guy's head while avoiding getting any pellets on the hostage. And that's on the first day I shot this gun! As I mentioned, the gun functions flawlessly (and that's with 7 different magazines from 3 different manufacturers). Accordingly, it is now my go-to home defense weapon. I have 100% confidence that it will go "bang" every time I pull the trigger.

Mike,
OUTSTANDING job! My LSA Saiga 12 Sledgehammer is over the top! Both beauty and function. I have shot almost 700 rounds through it and it ate everything i fed it! I just recently started shooting bird shot and it fired great on gas setting #1. It was firing so fast that when I let my friend shoot it, he asked how to set it to "automatic". It ran fast and smooth and the low recoil is awesome considering it's a 12 gauge. You did a awesome job, and i appreciate your great customer service and you being patient with all my questions and lack of knowedge with the Saiga 12. This is by far my favorite firearm to shoot.
Anyone looking to get a Saiga 12, Mike Rogers is the man you want customizing your S12. You will be 100+% satified and it is worth every penny. I recommend Lone Star Arms to everyone that is looking for a master piece of a firearm!
Thank you for an AWESOME Saiga 12!!!

"Mike, it has been a few months since you sent me the Saiga 12 and I finally made the time to break it in. I ran 500 slugs and 150 rounds of 00 buck shot. I have never enjoyed shooting any of my firearms as much as that shotgun. With the recoil reduction I did not even bruise!!!!!!!! I never thought that would be possible with a 12 gauge. I took several firearms for the 6 hour range day I had planned but shot the Saiga 12 for over 4 hours. There were several very curious shooters that would walk over to see what was making all the noise. They all commented on the quality of your work and showed me the mods on their AK's and AR's and the Saiga was far better.
My buddy had just bought a Benelli 12 gauge, not sure of the model, but he said it was one of their faster models. Not only did it kick like a mule it ran nearly half the speed as mine. When it got hot it was done, too many malfunctions. I ran mine way hotter than you would recommend but it never malfunctioned.
I just wanted to say thanks, I was skeptical of spending the extra money on your modifications over some of the other companies out there but I am 100% satisfied.
Thanks again!"

"I went to Mike at Lone Star Arms for my 2nd Saiga-12, and after handling my LSA S12 at the range, I know that if I intend to get another S12, it will be from Lone Star Arms.
Holding my DIY S12 in one hand and holding my LSAS12 in the other was like holding a bottle of Burnett's in one hand and a bottle of Remy Martin XO in the other. Goodness gracious the Remy Martin is so much more enjoyable. Pop the dust cover off a LSAS12 and you'll understand. The carrier and bolt are mirror polished and even the carrier rails in the receiver are mirror polished. That is some serious artisan work.
I own the "Sledgehammer" model. It's the most enjoyable weapon I've ever fired, hands down. It's balanced (the hammer stock and monster brake work pretty damn well together). It's FAST, it's smooth, it screams elegance and then at the same time it's an absolute HELLBEAST of a firearm.
If you want to get the top of the line, cream of the crop stuff, don't hesitate. Call up Mike, he's an awesome guy on top of an awesome guy to do business with - I believe there is a difference, and his character shows in the details of his work."

"Mike turned my FTE/FTF S12 into a shell dumping beast. I couldn't be happier with the turnout especially now that I can shoot Fed. bulk without even taking the gas knob off of 1. My buddy shot my Lonestar S12... His S12 is now heading out to Mike."

"I’d like to thank Mike for an outstanding build. I can recommend his work to anyone that wants a shooter.
Mike endured entirely to many emails and phone conversations; he went out of his way to advise me on exactly what things would work and what was extraneous. He truly built me a killer combat shotgun set up exactly like I wanted. The quality of his workmanship and the reliability are truly outstanding. If you’re looking for a custom weapon, Mike is your man.
Thanks again Mike." CWO 5 J.A., US Army - Deployed

"I wanted to inform you that the Central City Police Department has adopted the Lone Star Arms Saiga 12 Shotgun as the official patrol shotgun for our agency.
I wanted to personally thank both you and your staff for your hospitality for having us at your shop. I also want to thank everyone for their great customer service and tremendous attention to detail. I don’t know if most of your customers are aware of your jeweler’s background, but that attention to detail and precision has transitioned over to your gunsmithing.
LSA’s customer service is second to none and you and your staff bent over backwards to ensure that our builds went as planned. After having put over a thousand rounds of varying types through these guns, I am amazed at how easy to they are to shoot and talk about fast. If I were a 3 gun shooter, this is the gun to have.
This would also make a great home defense weapon because of the reduced recoil. My officers are again using the shotguns as their secondary weapon, even though an AR is available as well. The fact that we can put so much lead down range in so little time and with accuracy is impressive. I never imagined that I would be able double tap head shots at 50 yards with a shotgun.
The best benefit we have seen is in the cost of training. In today’s world, finding rifle ammo is not only costly, but can take months to come in. With the Saiga, shotgun ammo is always readily available and at a fraction of the cost, saving us huge money in our ammo budget. Again, I just wanted to thank you for putting out such a quality weapon system together and look forward in doing business with you for years to come.
Respectfully,
Terry Krelle

"The effortless reliability, (with all types of ammo), that Mike's work has ensured in my S-12 is truly impressive. I highly recommend Lone Star Arms' services, even if you think your gun cycles low-brass "well enough"..... trust me, you have no idea how well she'll run after Lone Star's done with her"

"Hey guys, I dont post often but I had to give a big thumbs up to Mike at LoneStar. I placed an order for a converted and revamped 12 from LoneStar and the service was outstanding from order placement to product delivery. I was kept in the loop from start to finish. Mike even delivered the weapon ahead of schedule to accomodate a change in my work schedule.
The weapon itself is beautiful and all its form follows function. LoneStar Arms weapons arent cheap, you can get serviceable cheaper converted 12's .... LoneStar seems to go a couple of steps beyond serviceable. I ordered the basic model with a few extras like Krebs sights and a folding recoil absorbing stock. I took it out to the range and this weapon performed flawlessly "right outta the box" with walmart/remington bulk buy #8 target load, slugs, full/reduced 00 buck. All in all I felt I got my money's worth from service to hardware. This is one of the very few weapons that I know I will never sell or trade.
Big Thanks to Mike at LoneStar Arms.
PS: Mike.. once I take this beast out to the range at work.. be ready for a few more orders

"Received my Saiga Combat Shotgun this week from Lone Star Arms in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Put around 200 rounds of assorted loads through it, to include 50 rounds of 00 Buck and 10 slugs. FLAWLESS !! . No FTL/FTF/FTE issues whatsoever. Their adjustable gas system allows for simple dial-in of rounds used. This shotgun is FAST. Typical expected reliability from an AK type action, but this one is smooth as glass. Bolt/carrier assembly has been worked and polished way past acceptible function into precision. I do a fair amount of tactical training, am an Army veteran, and work in an armed profession; this shotgun fits the bill for defensive work. The collapsible M4 type stock gives you a real tight close cheek weld and control for CQB type actions, and recoil in lighter loads is almost un-noticed. I opted to test this weapon without any form of optics. My opinion is that the iron sights are just fine for close range buckshot work. Slugs found their mark as well out of the smoothbore indicating that the rifle type sights are mounted properly.
Anyone looking for a durable, highly reliable combat shotgun needs to look no further than Lone Star Arms for their Saiga-12. I would rank this weapon in the top class for its POU. Far higher capacity than a pump gun, far more reliable than many tube mag auto shotguns (read rem 1100), and just as fast on the trigger as a benelli super 90. I think this shotgun would equally serve the soldier, SWAT operator, or 3-gun match competitor (unless you consider the unfair advantage)."

"I got to shoot mine today! After 300 rounds I knew where my money went. I'm happy with the results. Everything about these builds is true. I love the polished pieces. I've gotten so many compliments at the range. I only have 2 additional 10 round promag (magazines) right now which functioned flawlessly. I'm so glad I decided to go with Mike on this one. He is a Saiga wizard! Thanks Mike!"

"Hi Mike,
I thought I should extend a huge "Thank You" your way for making it possible to check off one item on my personal bucket list.
That is being the owner of the finest 12 gauge shotguns on the planet!
I immediately was just knocked out by the awesome look and workmanship on the gun when it arrived, but of course, the real test was at the range.
How about 350 rounds of everything from expensive high brass, to cheap #6 Winchester Xpert.
I even put about 25 rounds of Winchester Universal through it with no trouble. (amazing).
I am so impressed with this gun that I am absolutely beside myself. The gun was a show stopper at the range and I was really surprised at how many guys came up with the same question. "Is that one of those bad ass Saiga's?
I had to enlighten them that this was a "Lone Star Arms" bad ass Saiga.
Once again, -- Thanks for great work, great service, and a great Saiga 12!
Joe S. - Dallas, TX"

"Now that I finally got to shoot my S12 I gotta say it was worth every penny! During the build Mike kept me in the loop through phone calls and PMs. All my PMs (questions) were answered the same day.
Today I got to take it to the range and blast a few hundred rounds through it. NOT ONE problem! I ran the China-mart's Winchester white box, bulk pack and Remington's low brass bulk pack (Dick's) In between I switched to random high brass and slugs and than back to the low brass bulk stuff. Also did a few 10 round mag dumps. Mikes S12 functioned flawlessly and I was surprised at the low recoil of the slugs (maybe I thought they would be worse). Afterwards I checked the whole gun, nothing was loose, no screws or rivets were coming out. The only real problem I had was lack of ammo and target.
The gun was built, tested and shipped very quickly. The quality is top notch, and reliability is 100% You get your money worth when you buy a Lone Star Arms S12!
Thanks Mike and everyone at LSA!"

"I recently had Lone Star Arms custom build another S12, in which mike simply went over the top with both design and quality work. Mike utilized a Tromix monster brake, which is the absolute bomb reducing recoil by 40 percent at least and also tighten up the shot pattern. My hat is off to my good friend Mike Rogers for the flawless build."
