Kalashnikov USA created the Komrad.  And, we just perfected it as the ultimate short barreled 12 gauge GCA compliant tactical firearm (no NFA tax stamp required).

Prior to retiring our NFA licensing back in 2014, when the Obama administration banned the import of Saiga shotguns, we literally wrote the book on building high performance Saiga 12 short barreled shotguns with full length high performance gas systems. The Saigas we built were so good as tactical SBS shotguns, Central City Colorado PD had us build them as duty guns for their entire department. We're proud to say our tactical SBS shotguns served everywhere from the Middle East, to right here at home with State and local LEOs to US Federal Agents. There are quite a few in the hands of private collectors as well, and the fact that we almost never see them come up for sale is an ongoing testament to their unique character, useability and reliability as ultimate tactical tools.

When Kalashinikov USA released the Komrad 12 as a short barreled GCA compliant firearm, we couldn't wait to get our hands on one to tune it as a high performance tactical firearm capable of running everything from lower powered less lethal loads to tactical buckshot and slugs.  The Komrad 12 did not disappoint. We've tested the tuned up Lone Star Arms Komrad custom tactical builds with everything from low base birdshot to tactical buck and slugs, and just like our former Saiga tactical SBS builds, they cycled it all!

We couldn't be happier with the high performance Lone Star Arms custom Komrad 12 in these photos (and every other Komrad we've built), and we think our high performance custom short barreled Komrad 12 gauge firearm builds will please you too.

Lone Star Arms KS-12 Komrad Short Barreled Firearm custom tactical build. Original GCA compliant (non-NFA) firearm dimensions, balanced, bluprinted honed and polished action, high performance modified factory fire control group with straightend compettion trigger, dramatically reduced travel, short crisp break, fast reset, adjustable high performance competition gas system, custom HK sights, with Tromix US CNC milled steel optics rail permanently mounted to factory dust cover, original LSA proprietary custom sculpted and vented Russian handguard with 6:00 accessory rail (custom 3:00 and 9:00 rails available), and Magpul AFG1 angled foregrip.

This custom build will accept all Saiga factory compatible magazines and drums, includiing SGM 8, 10, and 12 round box mags, AGP Gen 2, and 3 ten (10) round drums Promag 12, 15, and 20 round Drums , MD Arms 20 round drums (becoming rare), SGM 25 round Saiga 12 drums (currently readily obtainable in non-ban states).

The Saiga  12 IZ-433 below  was brought to us for a custom conversion and high performance rebuild by a customer in North Texas.  The Saiga 12 IZ-433 has become a rare gun and is sought after by collectors and sportsmen alike.
